Calamondin

Also called acid orange or Panama orange. In the Pacific Islands it's called kalamansi. A shrub or small tree growing to 3-6 m, that bears small, edible, citrus fruit. The Calamondin is often described as a cross between a Tangerine and a Kumquat and sour at first taste.

The Calamondin is widely grown outdoors in warm areas of FL, CA, and the Gulf coast. It's moderately drought-tolerant and the trees bloom all year in optimal conditions. Also grown as a ornamental house plant, it can have flowers, green fruits, and mature fruits at any given time.
